Adult Services Committee

The purpose of Adult Services Committee is to provide a forum for which adult services librarians can meet bi-monthly at different hosting Oakland County libraries to network, brainstorm about common library problems, share program ideas, and learn about new technologies, etc. We often have speakers give presentations to the group. We host a continuing education Fall Workshop each year in which we bring in 3 speakers to present workshops on timely issues, such as eReaders at your library, etc.

We plan at least one field trip a year in which we visit places such as the Burton Historical Collection. With networking, visiting Oakland County libraries, and field trips we have the opportunity to become well rounded librarians by learning from each other.
