Shared Technology Services


Wide Area Network: Consortia discounts are provided for physical circuit (fiber) and internet bandwidth. TLN network technicians support the router and monitor connectivity.

Hosted Services: TLN hosts library websites, email accounts, SAM (Smart Access Manager), Chat Reference and My Reading Log.

PC Support: Support packages are available with a prepaid contract for TLN technicians to support library computers, printers, upgrades, computer imaging, hardware and software support, equipment installation and troubleshooting.

Network Support: Support packages are available with a prepaid contract for TLN technicians to support library routers, switches, firewalls, servers, and wireless networks. We also provide network audits and network consulting services.

Procurement: Bulk purchase opportunities are available throughout the year. See the purchase schedule for more details. TLN also orders software and hardware on a discounted basis as requested.

Remote PC Support: Remote access support is available to all TLN member libraries. A TLN technician can assist and troubleshoot any PC-based issues over-the-internet using this service.
