These cover a wide range of subjects and often index a mixture of popular and scholarly sources. This is often a good place to begin research. Examples of general indexes and the kinds of articles they identify are:
General Reference Center Gold - Indexes articles from magazines and newspapers on many topics. Most are full text. Updated daily, covers 1980-present.
Infotrac Custom Newspapers- Database of 150 English language newspapers, mainly in the U.S. and United Kingdom, with full-text of articles for the past 12 months. Includes New York Times, Investor's Business Daily, Washington Times.
Infotrac Student Edition - This database is designed for high school students, with access to a variety of full-text magazines, newspapers and reference books for information on many topics. Updated daily, covers 1985-present.
