Every Web page has its own address called a Uniform Resource Locator (U R L). Much like the address on an envelope with a name, street address, city, state, and zip code, each part of a U R L provides information about the Web page and is unique to each webpage.
Here is a sample U R L and descriptions of its components.
http - type of Internet connection, hypertext transfer protocol
tech - host computer/server name (usually www)
tln - The Library Network (TLN) is the second-level domain name
org - top-level domain name
seach path - directory name
choice - page name
html - type of file, hypertext mark-up language
